Obama handled himself very well, addressing the issue on many levels.
What he forgets -- and we should not forget -- is that many who are opposed to abortion are not willing to discuss or debate. That was demonstrated by those who preferred to boycott, protest or heckle him without listening first.
Worse is how so many abortion opponents also block those very efforts which are proven to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies and abortions.
We can continue to ask for, hope for, and be open to dialogue with the other side. Whether or not they take us up on the offer -- that's another matter.
